I love my Ideal saddle. It seems very comfy for the horse and is definitely comfy for me. Not sure about value for money or ageing well as it is only a few weeks old so too soon to see how it wears and if it was good value. Would recommend it though.

I love them, they cost serious amounts of money though! Very good for the horse (in comparison with traditional saddles;) very comfy for rider, fit a lot of horses & age v.v.v. well (my YO has one thats 20 odd years old & still looks fab!)

I have two! One for each horse! Am very pleased with both of them, I think they are good value for money. I have a VSD / international event for my wide high withered cob (??!!!!) and a H+C GP for my other flat as a table cob. I feel nice and comfy in them, I get them checked every 6 months as both of mine have issues - one a dodgy stifle and the other long weak back, but am very happy with both of them!

Sounds like I picked a good 'un! She's having it made to measure so should be extra comfy for her and she is my main priority!

Love my Ideal Event..... bought it second hand for £300 off of ebay... Luckily it was in the next town to me and could try it before buying it!!

I would assume I wont lose copious amounts of money on it as it was second hand.

Did buy a second hand Ideal Jessica for dressage though and paid £550 for it!!!! Hated it and got a refund.

I think they are very reasonably priced. I was looking at new dressage saddles which cost over £1500 and werent that impressive. I picked up my Ideal new for £850 and IMO its far better than the expensive ones.

Answering the original question they are very comfortable for both horse and rider. I can see the difference in my horse after changing to my Ideal saddle.

I have one of their new dressage saddles. I'm VERY picky about dressage saddles, and I can honestly say this one ticked all the boxes. Fab saddle, fab price.
Its nearly a year old now and still looks as good as new.

I have a ideal GP for my mare, 2nd hand and v comfy although has tainted slightly green on the cantle

not sure how old it is though. One of the horses I used to ride at college had a ideal jessica dressage saddle and it was the most comfy-est(sp!) saddle in the world!!

I want it...

All good here.

Had mine years, just sent it out on loan with the pony it's fitted for. I've had a couple of saddles for him and that's the one he's most comfortable in, and I find it the best of mine to ride in.

Mine's years old (about 8) and it's aged well too. Love it.

I have three: Working hunter which I bought second hand over 10 years ago, paid £250 for it, and it still looks like new. A GP which I bought off e-bay this year and paid £260 for, and Jessica dressage which I bought new 2 years ago for £700. I have other saddles too, but horses and myself prefer the "Ideal" saddles. Well worth the money, and extremely comfortable. I should get commission from Ideal as I constantly rate them very highly.

I had an event ideal that I sold with my mare this year, loved it and would defo buy another one. Gorgeous classy comfortable saddles, new owner gone and bought a Wintec and not sure if she uses the Ideal anymore - madness but each to their own!!!!!!
