Ideas for carrying tack to/from yard?

I was on a yard that had no tack room, so I brought a huge storage cabinet second hand for £20 and put a saddle rack etc in there. I didn't leave my saddle in it all the time maybe a few days a week as and when it was needed then bring it home if I wasn't using it for a few days. It worked so well that the yard was broken into twice ( no real locks as such) but each time they left my cabinet alone and took what was out loose, rugs, headcollars, that sort of thing. It worked for me fine
 
when I was a kid it was a 2mile bike ride to the stables I use to but my saddle on the handle bars my bridle over my shoulder like a courier bag and had a rucksack with everything else in it always worked for me
