I was wondering if any of the guys out there (or girls with horsey other halves/male family) could please recommend a few bits that I would like to put on the Christmas list for my other half. There seems to be limited availability for mens stuff!
We have just got our first shared horse and being a novice he has half chaps and short boots for riding but he doesn't have anything in the way of warm yard boots and clothing that are useful when you are wading through puddles and winter conditions for a few hours at a time and his decent boots will get trashed quickly otherwise!
Am looking for ideas for boots mainly (size 10 as some brands don't seem to do larger sizes!) that are waterproof and fleece/neoprene/similar lined that are good for yard duties and possibly for riding in too and no more than £70. Preferably long and not 'girly' styling. We are not snobby about brand names so ebay or discount type shop unknown/unbranded ones would be fine as long as they will last a winter.
Also he needs warm gloves that have good grip for riding and any other bits that you fellas might have found useful for winter riding/yard work. He has really bad circulation in his hands and feet so the warmer the better!
