As above really - looking for some decent pony books for my daughter for christmas, shes 7! some we can read together.
I used to love the Jills gymkhana books but can't seem to source any :( what where the other oldies?

The Sheltie books are a good start - you can get them second hand off Ebay or Amazon, and if she's a good reader you might be able to start the Jill series as the print is quite large.

We also love the Princess Evie set about magical ponies which my daughter (6 and a half) reads by herself.

At 7 I started enjoying the Pullein-Thompson books - my favourite one when I started on them was A Pony for Sale and the trilogy starting with The First Rosette, going through The Second Mount and then Three to Ride. But i was a book devourer!

Mines 7 too. She loves the old pullien Thompsons & Jill. Also got 'pony pals' & 'chestnut hill' series. She's got quite a lot of recent pony stories too, I'll have a look at titles tonight if you want. Plus loves misty of chincoteague & the old thelwell books.
