Ideas for Tack Party

I run a little equestrian forum for local people in my area and have suggested throwing a little 'tack party/horsey night' at my house. I was thinking of horsey raffle prizes etc.

Any ideas for what else I could do please? would be nice to be able to raise some money for ILPH etc.

Could everyone make a cake or something and sell them to neighbours on a stall. What about an auction of horsey pressies where people bid for things. You could do a swap night where people buy and sell or swap tacj items for a fee. Quizz night is good. Perhaps you could supply tea. coffe and biscuits and people attending buy them at £1 a go or something?

Why not ask your local tack shop to see if they are prepared to sell some items at a discount or give a donation to ILPH.

Alternatively see if people can bring stuff to sell/swap in aid of the charity? Everyone has stuff they don't use (most of us are collecto's - I am anyway!)

What about getting a local expert/professional to give a little talk? They might donate their fee to the charity or even better not charge and you get people to donate to attend. Even somone like a local showing judge or somethinglike?

Quiz night is always popular, but with horses quite often not everyone will agree with the answers, so be careful!!

Raffle prizes are always great and you don't even have to keep them horsey.
