We have a yard show 3 times a year, showing in the morning and showjumping in the afternoon! For the showjumping we do the ordinary heights and then something fun at end. We have done style jumping, speed rounds and chase me charlie. What else could we do?

Pairs is a good one - first rider jumps the course then passes a baton to second rider (within a marked off box so they have to be accurate) then second rider jumps the course. It is timed from start of 1st rider to finish of 2nd and 10 seconds get added for every knock down or refusal. Winning team has lowest overall score. Your stewards have to be quick off the mark to replace any poles knocked down by 1st rider - all very exciting!

I did a handy pony jumping class once - it was great fun. Normal jumps but set further apart and 'hazards' inbetween like going in and out of cones, a stop/start box, under a (very high) washing line etc :)

The space hopper race?!

Buzzer goes and the time starts. Horse and pony speed around a course of jumps, 6-8ish. They then have to cross a finish line/end up in a box type thing. Someone else on a space hopper (normally somewhere else on course, not near the box) then has to go and hop round a course, normally 5 "jumps" - flat poles. Time stops when they cross the finish line.

Normally causes much hilarity, and is great as mum or dad can join in with kids, bored brother/sister gets a go etc.

Rosettes for both, have spare space hoppers in case of emergency!
