Idea's needed for Riding school halloween party ....

Hoping to organise either a full saturday (well when I say full saturday perhaps 3-4 hours) of games and halloween fun .

Need ideas for games either on horseback or off .

Ponies obviously need to be included in the games some way .

OR


Continue with the lessons and have a halloween theme in the lesson .

Idea's needed as soon as .
Heading to work in an hours time so kind of need something to go on .

You could get them all to dress up and dress up the ponies too, in a haloween theme, and then do a pirze for the best one.

I want to think of something to do with pumpkins but can't think of anything!

Otherwise just standard gymkana games but done in costume will make it a lot more festive! Things like applebobbing- riding up to the top, jumping off, bobbing for an apple then jumping back on and riding back to start.

Water games are always fun, you have to ride to the top, collect a cup of water then ride back to the start trying not to spill any. At the end the team with the most water, in a jug/bucket wins. Maybe you could put red food colouring in the water to make it look like blood!

Maybe have one where you have to ride up to the top and collect a bone (cardboard cutout!), then ride back to the start, the team then have to put all their bones together to make a skeleton.

Also, you could hollow out a pumpkin, put this at the top with things in it, like snake shaped sweets, skulls etc, people can ride up and get the goodies!

Chase me charlie - when you start over 10 small barrels laid in a line, everyone hops over, then reduce one at a time. If pony runs out or stops you're out until only one rider left or one barrel in which case all those left in win.

Weaving in and out barrels/cones in a race. Wee ones can be led.
