Ideas on padding a breast bar?

I was going to carpet but thought foam would be better..

Ideas on how to pad it out and where to get the stuff from?

I bought some pipe lagging from b and q and put that on then wrapped over it with duct tape. Lovely and padded!

I did exactly the same, does a brilliant job and has been on there for 7 years and I've only had to patch a couple of bits.

You can buy foam from habberdashery type places, we have a big chain oop north called Dunelm, not sure if they have stores everywhere.
Then I have covered mine in vetwrap, it looks pretty smart.

Foam Pipe Lagging (grey foam tube with a split down one side) as others have said. It's available in different widths.

Another vote for foam here, didn't like to say but I think carpet will be buzzing after a while, whereas with the tape covering the pipe lagging will be wipe cleanababble
