I've realised that I have to set some new goals for me and my boy. I've been riding all my life but have had a couple of long gaps. Been back in the saddle regularly for the last 2yrs but was too afraid to try anything new in case I fell off!! But last August I fell off - can't tell you what happened coz can't remember but ended up in hospital with a bleed on the brain. Since then we've gone from strength to strength as a team. We're now jumping 2'6" and I'm not fussed about getting any higher. We've jumped parallels, an oxer and mainly cross bars. Our flat work is very good but we have issues about cantering on the wrong leg at the mo and I'm working on it, I think that the fact I have lost nearly 4st has changed the way things feel and I hadn't realised that I was cantering on the wrong leg when I was carrying the extra weight. So anyway, I just want some new goals. We are working with my instructor towards a shoulder-in and I want to improve my leg yield. I also want to learn to do flying changes but need to learn this. This is the furthest I've ever brought on a horse. So does anyone have anything else to throw in the suggestion box??????
