I sympathise MdS, I have a reluctance to approach people for sponsorship/back up/whatever that relies on "look how fabulous me and my one horse are", because I know it can all disappear so fast. If our 1 and only horse puts its foot down a rabbit hole tomorrow we're back at the bottom of the heap. I am currently having a mid-20's crisis (the mid-lifers get all the press), along the lines of what have I acheived with my life, what do I want from life, how will I ever be debt-free/own a house/have a pension. In the past few weeks I've yo-yo'd between thinking I should get a proper job at the Commission, and taking on a yard of my own. You seem more determined than me to definately event, but I know it doesn't make decisions any easier! I haven't said anything very constructive I guess, so here's my attempt: I agree with the hunting approach. I did some cover work at a hunting yard in Herts before we left the UK and it was ideal for someone wanting to event.
