I do not think I am going to be able to do cross country on my horse again, so I was trying to think of ideas that would enable me to ride, hopefully do xc and possibly event in the time in summer I have after exams but before university. This is from the end of June to mid September, so I have ruled out more long term arrangements such as sharing or buying a youngster to bring on in eventing.
My main ideas were to; try and find a summer job that would allow me to ride and possibly compete, for example with a local producing yard. Or to try and find someone who would like help schooling and competing a horse or to try and find rides at low levels of eventing (unaffiliated, BE90, 100, novice) although I doubt these come up very often!
I suppose only having three (ish) months limits my options considerably.
I was wondering if anyone has any experinces relating to any of the above scenarios? Or any other ideas that may help me ride more/xc/event over summer?
I will just add, I am not looking to replace my horse, I love her to pieces and hope to focus on dressage with her but I love cross country and eventing so would like to do some over summer.
I wanted a gap year to get a horsey job and possibly get a youngster to bring on for a year before university, but with the increase in fees, it is no longer a sensible option! :(
Thank you for reading this rather rambling post! :)

you didnt give any indication of your experience or the area in which you live in? and do you drive/are mobile? good luck there are people out there who would welcome an experienced jockey for a couple of months. keep looking and advertise in your local area.

Thank you for the replies.
I am in Derbyshire. Yes I drive so that's obviously a help! I have been riding for 10/11 years with no breaks so would hope I am reasonably experienced, I have done many unaffiliated events but never got to affiliate due to horse injury. I've hunted a few youngsters for people and my first pony was rising 4 when I got him (I was 11) so we learnt together! I have had much tuition over the years and have seen and tried many different approaches to riding. I am very kind rider however (some argue too kind) so would have to fit with what an owner wanted. Will be putting up an advert quite soon :)
