I dont think there is any answer to this but thought i would see if anyone has an ingenious way of making things easier on my back.
i have a nice little 3.5t box which i love but getting the saddle in and out is soooo hard on my bad back.
At the moment i lift the saddle off the rack whilst in the lorry and stand on the floor near the door - then get out the door and lean in and lift it out. i am scared of stepping down from the lorry whilst carrying it for fear of losing my balance/footing.
What do you all do??

Put saddle on the floor, wrapped up in a saddle cover or saddle bag? Or get one of the Stubbs saddle mates and place that on the floor by the door, then saddle on it.

My saddles always fall off the rack, so we place them carefully on the floor. They’re in saddle covers.

If you had a grippy cover over a Stubbs saddle mate you might be able to put webbing around/through it and lower it to the ground. It's why people have external tack lockers

I'm talking about this on another thread, albeit it not lifting it out of a lorry.
But this has handles so might be suitable (should your saddle fit in it of course)

they look good, what make are they? I could do with something like that

ETA that i have found the other post now
I have one of those for trekking around plant fairs/flower shows. No way my saddle would fit in it. Or come out of it without scrapes.

Higher up problem for me getting saddles out of the side door of a 7.5t. I’ve found saddle mates brilliant because I can drag them to towards me to the door and get the saddle out without needing the stand too and then slide them away again to reach other things. Also can put kit inside it and it’s at standing height so no bending down constantly.
