Idiot owner of the day today

Not a day goes by without one! So this morning I took the boys to the beach, lovely run then popped leads on and heading for home along the prom came across an old man with a hairy thing about the size of a Cocker Spaniel off the lead....The supermop spots us - somehow through all that hair and comes racing over, owner not a bit concerned, I shout to him to call his dog back (mine aren't overly fussed but I find it annoying and bad manners!) he starts calling it and saying "good boy" What the F?? So I yell "GO AWAY" in my best pony club across 50 acres voice, it buggers off...

THEN some runners come up behind us - my dogs on lead anyway don't even blink hairy mop explodes and hurtles towards the runners barking and jumping all over them, one guy - very justifyably went mad, and gave moptops owner a really good what for saying if those lovely dogs there (mine) are on lead why the F wasn't his....!!! I sloped off leaving them having a shouting match!!

As I said in the Irresponsible Owners thread, the running up to runners thing seems to happen a lot more than I thought, it's not on. I love (er... most/some/my) dogs but runners and cyclists and indeed those of us who choose to keep our dogs leashed, deserve to go about their business without being chased and jumped on.
