Both of mine have come in with a kick or bite mark this week...I just shrugged my shoulder, cleaned them up and carried on.
If we know an owners like that, there horse wont get put in the field with Herc'l...I know for a fact he kicks, he's not a nasty horse - he doesn't do it when ridden, you can have another horse right up his back end and he won't react. However he is Alpha and defends his position if another horse tries to muscle in. Luckily he's only out with 2 mares, one he likes and the other he tolerates (but has nearly had her through the electric fencing a few times). Luckily the YO knows this and we're careful about where he goes out and who with (there is only 1 field he's really allowed in anyway due to a refusal to be caught by the YO/YM and it's small enough for them to chase him round if they really have to), mind you the YO had a move around and put her two show horses in the field with him for a few days the other month...I was havin palpations and flashes of broken legs.
