So finally managed to get back on the glorified field ornament when I went home for Dad's birthday. Immediately trips mid-hack and does this to her hoof (below). She's not lame and righted herself quite quickly but didn't like me picking up foot to pick it out after the ride. Want to know if it's fine to leave until next farrier visit.

For some context they had the farrier a week ago so would be a five to seven week wait; she's barefoot; and is out 12 hours per day.
Really this is a 'Please reassure me' and also a 'My horse is an idiot' post...

Yep that should be fine to leave: it would be like a scuff to our nail, more cosmetic than an injury.

Definitely not an expert, as in AWCF, but, as Cowrie said, looks like a scuff and should be OK.
