Just out of interest, if you go to see a horse and its been vetted and failed and then you ask the seller if its been vetted and what was the outcome are they obliged to tell you? Just like if you ask if the horse has any vices etc?

If the vet doing the vetting has made the seller aware of a specific health issue i.e. bone spavins the vendor should declare this.

Ultimately it comes down to the same old thing - buyer beware.

It would be an odd seller who kept allowing a horse to be vetted and failed though - wastes everyones time and money.

Not all the time - I had a horse fail its first vetting on something minor.
Next vendors had him vetted - different vet (there own vet) and he passed fine.

Vettings are subjective and are only a snapshot of the day they are done.
