if anyone is looking for a winter project...

I don't understand why this dealer is getting so much flack! Surely if the horses had some hideous underlying problem they would be sent through the auctions unwarranted rather than being sold directly by the dealer with all the associated legal rights of the purchaser. It seems people can't do right for doing wrong - too expensive they get ridiculed, too cheap then there must be a problem with the horse they are trying to cover up! A cheap price for a quick sale when you have a yard full of horses eating you out of house and home seems like a sensible option. The buyer presumably has the option of a full vetting if they want one.

Give it a break folks!

Oh my word

I'm starting to wonder how many people here hve actually worked on a yard or been to a horse sale?

Simple fact is, 4yo came in and is being sold on. has sarcoids and is being offered at a low price, which FWIW I think is a reasonable price.

The other simple fact is, when you've x amount of horses in, x amount of stables, haynets, water buckets, rug changes, feeds, grooming, schooling, clients etc to deal with, you havent always the a) time and b) staff (peple seem to forget it takes more than one person to back a horse) to start backing a youngster at this time of year. Add to that the cost of keeping such a horse over the winter.

Someone will be bagging themselves a bargain no doubt, and yes, a horse like this would fetch double at the sales so the lady really IS making a loss.

Gedenski, I dont see it as any different to the lee coming onto the pointtwo threads and various other people who have come on here in the past to defend their products.

Thank you Happy Horse and Charlie - Sensibility speaks at last!

I am trying to give these horses a chance to be rehomed before they have to go down the sales route!

Yes they are open to vetting/blood testing etc I have nothing to hide.

just read all 4 pages of this rubbish, to be honest all ad's i looked at on horsemart seem very honest pointing out there bad points, i couldunderstand the issue if everything sounded fantastic at cheap prices.

as for the horse with sarcoids, i wouldnt personally touch a horse with sarcoids for £400 let alone 1000 as some has stated. he has been advertised at a price making it worth the risk for someone to take him on. what is the point in spending the time schooling him, when with the sarcoids he is never going a apeal to a big market, or be worth alot unless he has a great comp record. well done for finding him a home hope they do really well with him.

if i had the money would go a look at twiggy, but at the mo we are struggling to sale what we have advertised so no spare pennies
