Mine's andy x connie, he's got masses of wavy hair but I could never pull his mane!
In summer as it's so thick I put loads of little braids in it to keep him cool. In winter it stops me needing to put a neck cover on his rug so no mane-rubbing either.
For dressage I put it in a running plait tho this year I think it'll have to be a double one!
His tail is trimmed so he does nt stand on it but that's all.
Please leave him as he is meant to be!!! And good luck with him. If you'v never had a spanish horse before, you are in for a fantastic time. I love mine to bits even tho he's far too clever for his own good!
