If i gave you..

Trakehner or similar, 15.2--17.2, for dressage and some jumping, 4--6 to bring on...we're in a dream world, right?

A chunky TB, chaser type, old fashioned and honest and not neurotic - just responsive, for pleasure riding and low level competition, probably an older mare with a good head on her shoulders and about 16.2hh.

I would love to say I would buy Hemir again as he means everything to me...BUT it's not what I'm going to say because with what I know now I would NEVER EVER buy another horse like him

He is just unique and in all honesty shouldn't be able to do the job he does

So I would buy:
2/3yr old
Hannovarian x TB (or KWPN)
eventing or dressage
to make 16.1hh +

I would do exactly as I've done several times before and keep my eye out for a weanling/yearling, preferably but not necessarily with Arab blood, to make 15hh plus. I would run the baby on for a few years, back it and then find out what discipline it was best suited to. I would spend a maxim of £1000 and would use the other £4000 to buy a very badly needed new used car!

See....I do this all the time.....

either...

a chestnut crabbett arab gelding
15.2hh ( thats about the biggest a true arab will get I think)

OR

ISH....most likely grey but I am being swayed by coloureds these days
about 16hh

for general RC stuff and hacking about, possibly try my hand at eventing

I would only want some of it as my ideal horse would be a New forest at around 14 hands an older been there done it type that I could try a bit of XC on or a hairy cow horse same been there done it... Have had enough of youngsters and would now much rather have an older more sensible horse

Definitely a Highland mare, must be A Dun. I would use her for hacking, schooling and she would be good enough to breed from.

My favourite dream.

Jane
