If money was no object , I would buy all my old horses back and the first pony i ever rode , she still going strong today in my local riding school that i teach at .
I love my current horse to bits and he's absolutly perfect for me... wouldnt swap him for the world! However, I'd send my trainer abroad to find me a nice youngster which I'd then leave with her for a few years so she could bring it on
And I'd buy Escapado, bring him back to the UK, and give him back to Carl. I really like Blue Hors Matinee as well so would probably bring her over here and give the ride to my trainer
sad, but i would buy all the poor waifs and strays I saw that had ignorant owners when I was horse hunting. Heart breaking. Oh and all the ones that are going to meat market. Can you imagine the size of yard and staff needed.!!
Show jump. I only got him last July and he has been stressed so we only have had him at one show so far and he was clear at 110m young riders class but he will go out again to a training show on 4th March and we will see how he gets on. He really is an example of doing too much too early, he won age classes at 4, 5 and 6 and has jumped a Grand Prix but he couldn't go over a pole on the ground at home. He is a lovely personality so we will keep our fingers crossed.
The mare that Im currently getting which is being vetted in two weeks.....dont have any photos of her that do her justice, but she looks just like her dad;
Jumped him in Cavan in October, going to Tyrella 4th March, as we are doing SJAI traininng last weekend and next . go to Laurelview sometimes but not at the moment as dont want to jump indoors again this season
Sounds like you are a very sympathetic owner, I know a lot of Cavaliers off spring, EXTREMELY talented but sensitive souls and can stress. Best of luck for this year with him.
wow, thats quite interesting as I looked at some horses from there and whilst very nice I wouldn't be surprised by your example.
May see you on the 4th march, will keep an eye out!
