No I don't think anyone would be put off by them having a foal, I actually think it does them good!!
I bought mine at 6 yrs and she has already had a foal, and I think you would be right looking at about 4500.
the foal thing really does not put me off, she looks a nice mare, and has a nice build, so no it does not put me off, and it shouldnt anyone else.
Not sure if i would buy her to re-sell at the moment, i quite like the look of her to keep!
Why on earth would anyone be put off by that, unless she was put in foal to recover from injury? Even then, it wouldn't be a ligament issue because generally they're unable to support the foal's weight.
She looks very like my mare - love her type. Go look, she looks a love.
Some people are - personally I would not be keen on buying a mare that had had a foal as it would mean that she hah had a substantial period out of work and I have no interest in breeding.
Its not a critisism, it was a genuine question. I do know of other people that would be put off as well but as you say, it may be a plus for others.
I would want to speak to the previous owner who did stuff with her...why was she sold? Why was her career stopped and she was bred from? ETC. I think she actually looks smashing and I would certainly take a punt on her if the previous owner chat went well
