If racing/hunting/shoeing/rugs/stables are cruel - is riding?

The sooner she sells up and moves back to London the better for us counrtyfolk and their much loved animals. Isn't it always the way that city folk seem to think that they have the answer to the counrtside yet balls it up big time. ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Some of these replies reminds me of the time i went out for a hack with a parelli fanatic his horse was barefoot mine, mine had shoes on.
After around 20 mins out on our hack he said so why do you feel the need to shoe your horse as she got brittle feet ??
my reply was well thought out as i knew he would bring it up he always did to new people he met was "oh no my mare has wonderful feet i just like the sound the shoes make on the tarmac" The parelli man was so stunned he never mentioned it again out on our hack.
The next day i rode passed his field and waved to him i asked why he was not out riding he said "my horses feet are a bit sore so i am giving his feet a break" i just nodded and said "maybe you should embrace the sound of horses shoes clip clopping on tarmac", he nodded back and said "maybe i should".
I,m not really bothered if people want to go down the parelli route this man was a good and kind man with his horses and to me thats all that matters.
 
PMSL she a mad cat woman - there are many of them out there!!! more then 4 (house) cats ( many yard cats are acceptable!)= a crazy cat woman - never trust them!!!!
