If the owner is irritating....do u find the......... (long)

Cala... what upsets me most is the fact that:
A) I didn't know someone like you when I had Hazzie
B) don't think you lived near me.
Hazzy was the first dog we had ( and to date, only dog) and we learnt so much. I wish to Goodness I could have had someone like you with your 'second hand/ lower class dogs' (what a ridiculous thing to think!) to teach Haz that dogs were ok to play with and that he was, himself a dog! I did my best tussling with him and playing with him as a dog, but there is no substitute for the real thing. Incidentally, Haz met many rescue dogs in packs and was never ever attacked by a rescue dog, only pedigrees with stupid owners!
I had never seen the head butt thing and was gobsmacked when he did it lol!

U sound to have a temper control similar to mine!

My collie herds but as others say the other dogs ignore it entertain themselves and beau thinks he is doing a bang up job!!!!! silly cow!

And as others said u feel sorry for the dog being so obese!!!!

It doesnt sound like its got too many bad manner issues and the owners are compensating! (but that cud just be from ur OP)

Crazyness! there should be dog owner exams before anyone is allowed to get one!

I was very restrained, jsut let my gob run away with me, I think he thought it would be a passing comment that would go un-noticed.............but it made me see RED, it was unnecessary, and I simply could not let it slide, I doubt he will speak to be again........but no skin off my nose, I feel like kicking ten bells out of the useless spenk

The dog is not to bad really, but they annoy me the way they treat him, when he meets my dogs, he completely ignores his owners, it's like he is being a dog and enjoying it

Im gutted I never got to meet Hazzy, I showed OH all the piccies u put on her......his dream dog is a wolfhound and he was well impressed by Hazzy, I just told him the headbutting thing as I was chucklin away, and read out the 86kg bit, which impressed him no end, I think Hazzy would have loved my dogs, they are very easy going and will let any dog join in their play time over the fields, they are not spoilt little brats

I would have loved to him him bounding around in full stride

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I have a friend the same, or ex friend actually because of similar stuff.

Her beautifully trained agility dog, which she can make spin in circles on command, hurls itself at me at great speed and force every time we meet, covers me in mud and has several times given me a fat lip. When I tick it off and get cross she grins and chuckles slightly but never tells it off.Lots off other stuff too like telling me mine could do with training
mad.gif
but she also bugs me so much I was quite glad to have an excuse not to walk with her or go round anymore. She's the type that will start talking about something completely different when you are in the middle of a sentence and it got so noticable I started talking crap just to see if she was paying attention, which she wasn't

My biggest pet peeve by far is dogs that are overbearing and don't know how to greet other dogs--something which is entirely the owner's fault. Puppies are totally exempt but why should I believe your "he's just friendly" spiel when said dog is straining at the leash, hopping on two legs, barking and whining, and oftentimes tries to jump on Stella's back.

Grossly overweight dogs are another peeve, too. There is no sodding excuse for it. If we can live in a garden-less, city apartment and have a dog that's in tip-top condition, then anyone can.

It's totally the owner's fault... assuming they've had the dog from a pup. They might have inherited the problem otherwise (she said trying not to think of how Henry might have been received by the Prosefullstop posse not too long ago...)

grin.gif

My friend is exactly the same, if you talk about anything....it always reverts back to the dog, she is bloody serious she also used to walk round mine with the bloody dogs and find it aceptible to let them run into my house covered in mud.........boot on the other foot and she used to ask me to stand in her yard with my dog and whinge the whole time about them muddying her floor if they did venture inside, hence I stopped going round.

I must admit that day he had run for around an hour and you are so spot on... He just couldn't be fussed... Hubbs was speechless! He told Haz it was his fault if he had to have tinned dog food that night! You are so kind... Thank you for all your kindness. We miss the big lug terribly! I shall have to find some footage of him really motoring ... we only had a digital camera ( not a cam corder) though to film him!

You do pick funny 'friends' - from what you've written you can't stand this person. Who needs enemies!

Umm - and if dogs are like their owners, I do hope your dogs don't have aggression issues too
