Which horses, from the past or now, do you think would be able to jump easily round a bigger and more technical xc course than Badminton, Burghley, etc? I'm thinking of the ones like Murphy Himself who made it look so easy.
Any others?
Over To You is another one - okay, not as flashy and gasp-inducing as Murph, but always made the big tracks look very easy.
Toytown, i'd suggest.
Primmore's Pride.
Tamarillo.
Any votes for these or any i've forgotten?

Priceless and Nightcap II - I used to have their posters on my wall when I was small

Lenamore and Priceless are two, but I honestly don't think there are that many horses capable of doing it - I think PP for example might be too strong and arsey at times, but he might also eat it up... would definitely be one to go one way or the other with no inbetween.

Defo Tamarillo, Supreme Rock and Darien Powers. Stanwick Ghost? He would do the xc but not the sj! General Jock maybe too.

hmm, i know that Headley Britannia is brilliant, but she doesn't give me the impression that she could easily manage if everything was 6" higher and 2 foot wider... Murphy could have, i think, as could Darien Powers.
a lot of the others had their great moments but also their whoopsy moments, too. Charisma went xc very like Brit... very pony-like, very economical and quick, a bit hookey at times (that's not criticism of Toddy or Cinders, it's just the way those horses need riding!), but he didn't give everything a spare 6" or more!

I don't disagree with any of the horses chosen above but I would choose Murphy Himself, Glenburnie, Beagle Bay and Charisma.

Well, let me think. For me, the horses would be: Priceless, Charisma, Murphy Himself and King William. Leaving out quite a few of my heroes, but those are the ones I think of with real scope.
