If this whas Mum, what was Dad?

We know my guy is definitely mostly appaloosa, with very likely andalusian... so will let you know what we get back!

Why waste your money? they cannot confirm breeding like that it can only be used to confirm parentage when the parents are known. The gene pool of horses is so mixed anything will show up.
For example your appaloosa will all ready carry a percentage of iberian DNA anyhow going back many generations.
you either like your horse or not will it change him if you know? Sorry I would buy a new rug or two

I adore my horse, and finding out his breeding will not change anything... I'm just intrigued to know what his true breeding is, as we only have ideas from what we can gather from past owners . we're getting it done for my friends horse to see if we can find out what he truly is, so thought I might as well do my own guy at the same time too. Its just a bit of fun to see!

Would love to know the breed of mine so i could get the same again! But i have zero info on her as i made the passport. I was under the impression that horse genes are too indistinguishable so you can't really test what breeds are in there like with dogs. Correct me if i'm wrong though

YOu are indeed correct the gene pool is too mixed to even start to say. Hey though some of these companies have to make a living now that snake oil has been blown out of the water.
