Many of us are victims of rose tinted glasses when it comes to our own horses; we see them as perfect, no matter what anyone says! now, i have no intention of breeding from my mare (she's nearly 13, so too old for first foal anyway - at least thats my excuse!!!!!!) however my mum would like to believe otherwise; she still believes there's plenty of time for 'Ellie Babies' yet.
so, supposing the time was right, a full size foaling box magically appeared, and that we WERE to consider it, what kind of stallion would you put her to, and what conformation aspects would you look to balance? i've been fascinated by reading other people's posts regarding conformation; I can spot a ewe neck, upright shoulder or long back for instance, but as for the more intricate parts of conformation critique, i have no idea! so can you give me some (honest) feedback on my mare? thankies!!!!
(PS. if mum's wishes WERE foalies, we would be looking to produce something that had SJ/dressage potential)
Here she is (she was a 5 year old in this pic):
and here she is at 12:
