sneak him onto your wedding cake! My non horsey husband didn't want anything horsey at our wedding so I asked the cake lady if we could have him on the cake and this is what we came up with. I thought it was so nice I would share it with you all!

Lovely!! And congrats!!!! We had my mare at ours - there is a great pic of my husband leaping backwards, champers in hand, as she went to snort all over his suit!

Lovely, although I wouldn't have married mine if he said the horse couldn't come to the wedding! :D :D

He's just lucky we got the dog after we got married ;)

Thank you!
Thats so funny of your husband.. I bet its a great pic!

If I had had Winnie there then he would have caused chaos.. my dress certainly wouldn't have stayed white! Having a tiny weeny sugar winnie was a much safer option!

Thanks!

I do have to tread carefully with mine and he's just agreed that we can take on a small yard of our own (when we find the right place) so I'm being an extra special super duper wife at the moment!

I'll def be getting a puo too once we find somewhere but he's a dog person anyway!

Forgot to say congratulations - sorry! :D :)

I think the day at my wedding was the first time my (grey) horse has ever been squeaky clean, thank goodness I paid a pro to spruce him up and bring him - I have a lovely momento from the day too, a hoof oiled hoof print on my dress :D

Thats so funny..! Its the little things like that you look back on and smile (even if OH doesn't). Mine was quite far from our yard and it would have been a difficult venue to get him too and he wouldn't freaked out so it wasn't practical but a pic of him and me in my dress would have been nice!

My horse was only there because we got married in the field next to where she was turned out, so we just mooched over to have some pics with her. If I had had to transport her to the wedding, I wouldn't have done it. Far too much hassle! LOVE that Mr Squizz is pro-moving into a yard and getting a pup, how very exciting!

I made the poor lady drive mine (she owns a small horse transporting business) over an hour from his field to the venue :D

I think he enjoyed himself though, always likes being the centre of attention :)

I never got to eat any of my cake :(

That would be lovely though!!! All my friends were at the wedding so I would have had to pay the yard to have done it.

The lady who runs my current yard is being evicted.. she served me (and everyone else) our one months notice a week into my honeymoon which a bit stressful. Its been a nightmare finding somewhere that ticks all the boxes and we're in the right position now to give it a go ourselves! I've been wanting to do it for ages and Mr Squizz has finally come round to the idea... its actually lovely to have his support and encouragement on this! I have promised he won't be bullied into mucking out all the time!

Thats lovely though! Winnie is terrfiied of everything and we had marquees a big steel band etc... :(

I only had a tiny bit of mine right at the end!! I was so busy talking to people I missed out on my pudding which I had been looking forward too since the tasting!!

I wish I could do it all over again!

Brilliant cake. My whole day was based around the horse being there! My husband wanted to use his quad bike and I wanted the horse instead of wedding cars! Worked a treat and saved on hiring some kind of vintage motor! One of the funniest parts of the day was when my horse ate my husbands corsage! We luckily managed to rescue the stem before the pin went in!

Sounds awesome! I love it that with every story of someones horse coming to their wedding their neddy has got up to mischief! Love them!

OH has already said no horses at ours when we eventually get round to organising it.

Although to be fair, trying to organise four of them (one his, three mine) would be an utter nightmare!!
