Mine would be more confident. She's nappy and clingy and has no confidence, makes riding out quite difficult and we end up arguing as she'd prefer to go straight home
.
Travelling is an isue too as she's scared of that, so more confidence would solve all my 'challenges' (I refuse to call them problems
He wouldnt be grey! I spend ages getting him clean for an event, and by the time we have finished cross country he looks like a skewbaled! Plus he is the messiest horse in the stable, so to keep him clean i turn him out, at least then he doesn't tend to lay in his own sh*t, and mud is much easier to brush off!
I would make him normal(richie) ie: let me stroke him and love him without trying to take my hand off or kick me across the yard.
And all i would change about eddie is his past so he wouldnt have been neglected
I wish my little mare would eat more in the winter! She is so picky, she only eats pony nuts and if I give her more she gets bored of eating and pisses off down her field!!( She lives out as she is too stressy in the stable, it suits us fine!!).
But she is my horse in a million, so she is what she is!!
Miri - like JosieSmith's horse - I wish he had more confidence Is it just coincidence they're both Arabs?
Yes, it must be just coincidence, because the next horse, Pharaoh, also an Arab has all the confidence he ever needs. But, although 99% of the time he's easy to catch, I wish he didn't have the occasional won't be caught day (like last Sunday when we had to pull out of an event because of it).
Reine - I wish she still had all of her teeth so she could digest her food more efficiently and could enjoy things like hay once more.
Polly - can't think of anything I'd like to change - she fully deserves her happy retirement.
Warrior - Wish he wouldn't do that silly little excited back during canter transitions (actually we're working on that and slowly making improvements!)
But I really wouldn't want to change any of them, I love them all for exactly who they are.
I've just had another thought - please can I change a second thing about Pharaoh?
I would like him NOT to get so excited when he's loaded up to go to an event that he always SH*&*s himself and manages to smear it all over his backside, so we always arrive at events with a horse with a filthy green backside, a rank green tail bandage and the most noxious smelling trailer you've ever come across.
I'd change his canter and jump.. but then he's a baby and that's something we hopefully will change in the future! I would also rid him of his little health issues. But hell, it's all doable!
Just his age, from 17 back to five would be fabulous. or knock three years off him and turn him into a fantastic school master, instead of the novice horse/rider combo we once were and didn't progress much.
He has SO much ability, but he and I never show it at competions as he is always spooking at everything whether dressage, SJ (scary fillers!) or XC (scary fences!)
