If you could own any horse...

I'd have my old horse Bamber from the 1970s back. He had the sweetest temperament, but was quite mischievous so a fun horse too. I could ride him anywhere from city traffic to beaches and over any terrain and trust him as much as it's possible to trust a horse.

He was a bit of a rescue case, was broken winded (does anyone use that term now?!) He couldn't jump, or do dressage and was of unknown dubious breeding. But I'd have him back in heartbeat.

Sigh.

The two that I've got and also my darling baby boy who I lost earlier this year.

But on a famous level perhaps Dutch Courage and Tortilas!!!

Other than my lad as a youngster I would love to own Corlato, Tim Stockdale's mare,Ellen Whittaker's Ladina B I know she is "difficult" but she is just a stunning jumper, the Humdinger gorgeous horse with a lovely temperament or my YO's lovely Ruby, she is so special.

I'm a big fan of ex-racers and I do love a nice chestnut, so I think that I could offer a home to Lammtarra. ;) :p

Again, my old mare as a youngster even though my new lad his not bad to own lol but famous horse would have to be Milton.

I'd love to have had Ruffian if I could. What an amazing horse with an amazing attitude by all accounts-shame how she came to such a swift end but died believing she was still out on the track...

But my horse is one in a million to me, so I'd choose her over all of them. :)

wouldnt pass up the opportunity to have a blast on frankl, would love to have opposition buzz think just the most awsome horse but above all would have roscoe my old racer back he was just my best mate...

faracat thanks for putting lammtara's video on! i remember seeing that as it happened, i think he was unraced before that great moment;

i would chose bosra sham another chestnut, but a mare this time, flipper d'elle the show jumper, maybe nashwan and after visiting him in ireland most definately sea the stars would be top of the list, (sounds like a very expensive shopping list.)

opp buzz  i'd s*** my pants he's like a jump jet :p

i'll have totilas so i could have a little go on him then make a fortune through stud fee's and give him the retirement he deserves when the time is right bless him

then once i have made my fortune i'd buy marriet voit logistics ,sorry can't spell to save my life ,he's the grey that won gold :D but looks like he could be ridden by any one ,love him :)

I'm more than happy with the one I have, but If I really had too, I'd pick Robert Whitaker's Casino, or Clayton Fredericks' Be my Guest.

Other than owning some famous flat race stallion like Nijinsky, Nearco or Northern Dancer, for the money they would bring in, then the horse I would love to have back was one with the plain old name of Tom. Out of an Irish Draught mare by the Queen's Cleveland Bay Stallion, Mulgrave Supreme.
He was a heck of a ride and a brilliant hunter. He could 'pop' a five barred gate from a standstill and buck like a demon! You could never go to sleep on him as a party trick would be to spin sideways and jump the hedge or fence he had been riding alongside 10 seconds before.
He had enough character for a dozen horses and I had to outwit him at least three times a week.

I have ridden many famous horses but he would be the one I would want back again.
