If you could put anything on a tabard to hack out what would you put?

My tabard has a big red triangle and "Caution". I like that.

I'd like "Slow" on the front too though, its oncoming stuff on narrow roads that I usually struggle with.

Like ab I don't wear ones with daft statements on. But if I were to, I might go for one like:

'Knobbish pony thinks birds are scarier than your car - unless you want to be jumped on when a pheasant flies up, move over'

I prefer mine plain, but if I was putting anything it would be something like "thank you for slowing down :)".

I absolutely don't like the idea of anything remotely aggressive - all it does is alienate those drivers who would have been well-disposed to horse riders, and make the nasty ones even worse :o

But I prefer plain or with flashing lights and always buy the builders' versions rather than equestrian styles.

Sit on my ass and I'll sit on your bonnet. :-)
I wish I had this on when I was waiting at traffic lights once and my horse did exactly that. Lucky for me, car driver just drove off.

Right now I would love a tabard which said 'Young Horse in Traffic Training' or something as the only way to get Nell traffic proof is to go on the roads but some people are complete flaming idiots, bless her she has been good though. But I have kept thinking funnily enough I would love a tabard to say she is being trained or something, perhaps it would not make any difference

I would quite like to put 'this is a request and not a description' in brackets under my 'please pass wide and slow' bit.... just to clear up any possible confusion.

Can't quote on phone but I like the British gas one!!

My current one says 'caution horse and rider' which, if they couldn't already tell is rather worrying. I'd love a big builders jacket though, think they look far more effective.

most of my friends are totally non horsey and have the opinion that those of us with horses are snobs who think they are something else. I hack out on my 20 year old horse , in my non matching tack and have still had it come back to me that comments like 'who does she think she is' have been said about me on my ginger lump out for an hack.
We have to remember that for the most part non horsey folk just aren t interested or sympathetic to 'stuck up' people such as ourselves. That is how they perceive us, like it or not.
To that end I don't think lecturing people via a snooty message on the back of a tabard would do anything other than irritate people, and add the flames to the fire!

Love the quality beef burgers one :D:D

I'd buy the help for heroes one, that would decrease the risk of someone thinking i was a snob!!!!

People usually slow right down for our string of racehorses in the village as its a village where everyone knows everyone. One horse did kick someones car once :o I'd be tempted to get one saying 'Don't ask for tips' because i ALWAYS get it by people who dont live in the village and when i give tips the horses come nowhere and when i dont they win/place! So don't ask me for tips!!
That might sound a bit rude though!
Maybe 'incredibly slow racehorses' its an accurate description!
