If you could ride any horse past or present which would it be??

Arko III, he'll always be my fave.

In all honesty though, other than him, if I could ride ANY horse again, Past horse, it would be Tommy [RIP x] or present horse, it would have to be Splodge [my horse mentioned in hunting forum].

I have 3::

Hello Bud
Marius (german eventer)
Mondriaan (for a spin round the hickstead derby fences)

If I could have any horse it would be a lovely gelding called Sam that I had on loan 6 years ago and he had to be PTS due to colic whilst I was away on holiday and he had gone back to his owner. He was the best horse I have ever ridden, could take him anywhere and he was so full of bounce, loved him and miss him everyday.

I'd like my Gez with his hocks intact again... but of the famous horses
Dutch Courage - did grand prix dressage - jumped like a stag - couldn't ask for more.

wow just read seftons story how sad but amazing courage what a wonderful horse!
there are so many differnt horses we would all love to ride :)
ahh yes agree too dutch courage would be amazing..
and so nice to hear the stories of the ones closest to us our past horses with lovely memories..

Famous horses: Kauto Star and Headley Britannia - both very special horses who I just get emotional over, I'm hoping to see Kauto parade at Kempton on boxing day and I will definitely cry if I see him...!

But I would love to ride my last horse Lukie again, I lost him very suddenly to colitis in October last year; he was only 11 and I was heartbroken. My current horse is wonderful in every way, but I still miss my boy Lukie so much. And a few horses from when I was at a riding school - a rather cantankerous NF mare called Breeze and a Connemara x TB called Raucheen, both great fun when I was a teenager.

For me it would have to be my first horse, but as he would have been as a youngster. I got him for a few hundred pounds from a riding school as a battered hat rack and he gave me two fabulous years, despite being well into his thirties according to my vet. To ride him as an 8 year old would be a dream come true.

Famous horses, well I'm assuming in the world of fantasy I'd have the steel nerves to go with my mount of choice so I'm going to say Tutein. I always loved him and despite how nuts he was would've given anything to have a sit on him when I was a kid. ;)

I always wanted to ride Anne Moore's Psalm around Hickstead in my teens (showing my age there). Also loved Princess Anne's Doublet, I always wanted to go and watch Badders, but my parents never took me, but have been there many times, and am blessed with an eventer for a daughter, so can indulge it all.

I would love to go back and ride Monday, a little welsh cob on who I learned to ride, he was fun, and the first horse I loved, and still have photos of us at our first gymkhana together. For now, I have a huge soft spot for Valegro, I am probably very wrong, but he looks so cuddly and I would love a chilled hack on him. Another one I think is gorgeious is a show cob called The Humdinger, he is stunning, I would love to take him hunting.
