I have been subscribed to Ally on youtube for years! She seems like a really nice girl and is a lovely rider. I am pretty sure no cruelty would have been used when training Callie to do these tricks as she really does love that horse.

My pony and I do similar things (although my pony is extremely sharp and I am not such a good bareback rider as her). I use the same aids as her for Spanish walk etc, no force, the whip is just a touch on the shoulder, basically so you can touch from in front or on top without getting in the way of a foreleg. With me and mine it is all a happy game...
He does now do it when I do the funny walk next to him:

He'll run up and hop on when I ask:

Plays a great game:

Sits from a roll:

Comes for bike rides:

Its all stuff he finds fun anyway, some horses are inclined towards games. My sisters horse is all together more serious about life.

She's a nice (seeming) kid and rides nicely. It's nothing particularly out of the ordinary though - mostly it's the video editing which makes it "special".
