After all your kind words about my last blog post I thought some of you might enjoy this latest one - it's for anyone who was ever engrossed by a Pullein-Thompson pony book or enjoyed the Jinny at Finmory books - or if you have ever tried to draw a horse. I would love your comments and, if you enjoy reading it why not become a follower! Enjoy

Hooray! I officially follow your blog now.

My greatest friend introduced me to Jinny and Shantih two years ago (at the age of 40). Oh how I love her!

Apparently, they've just republished the books. And the photos on the front covers are of a chestnut arab mare called Shantih, belonging to the photographer who was inspired by the original Jinny books.

Ah, pony heaven...Thank you! :)

I LOVED pony stories when I was growing up....I think I may have read every one in existence up until I was a teenager (28 now).

I loved Jinny and Shantith best. How much did I want to gallop a chestnut arab over the moors behind Finmory?! (I also have read hair which helped feed the fantasy!!)...but loved all the Pullen Thompson books, Jill, Jackie, Midnight Dancer, The Swallow stories, The Saddle Club, Follyfoot and many many more!

Would love to get my hands on old copies...in fact, I might have to ask my parents if they still have them in the lift
