Several packs of hankies. I went to a preview of it yesterday in London.

It ia somewhat different to the theatre version, but it is very good and hubby and I needed the hankies in several places.

Really shows the horror of war and how a horse can bring out the best in us.

I'm sure I wont be able to bare to watch it. I cried at the theatre, when they were puppets. I bawled my eyes out at black beauty on TV last week, so I'm sure I wont be able to cope with the WH movie.

I think we cried more at the theatre, but we had only lost old Cairo the month before and were very emotional about horses.

If you can't face the cinema then get it on DVD so you can sob away in private.

I can't wait to see it although I just know I'm going to blub big time - I welled up within the first 15 seconds when I watched it at the theatre!

I'll be going to see it as my birthday present...I have a heart of stone usually (when it comes to movies, anyway!) but I doubt I'll cope with this one. Didn't cry in the theatre, mind!

My mum bought my brother, sister and myself tickets to see it in London. She bought us each a copy of the book, so we could read it first.

My sister was sobbing as the lights came up for the first act. I just know that watching it again, even though the film will be different again, will absolutely destroy me. I bawl at the music to Black Beauty! What chance do I have?

Glad to know I wasn't the only one sobbing to Black Beauty last week... Don't think I could face the shame of War Horse at the cinema, as I know I'll be in floods to tears - Im so sad :)

It's a shame I'd love to see both the play and the film but just can't put myself through that kind of emotional stress. I bawl my eyes out on Rememberence day for the men that were lost, but to see horses go through it too is just too much for me!

My children laughed at me as I sobbed my way through the book :o I even got emotional looking at the movie poster for it the last time we were in the cinema :o But I'm still going to the film, along with a big box of tissues and my mate who will probably be worse than me

Serveral hankies!!??? No chance, more like the shops shelf of tissues, a large 12 pack of loo roll.... and thats just for the first 10 mins!! lol

Seriously, I know my eyes will leak, but can't wait to see it. Mid January isn't it??

I'm going in January with my mum (to hold my hand :D) and I'm taking dark glasses cos my eyes will look like p*ss holes in the snow afterwards. xx

I cant wait to see it and being someone whose most fav book of my 48 years of life is black beauty and still cry when i read it for the 50th /60th time I will sob lol just cant wait to see it :) thanks guys for youure good reports :) xxx

lol just read rest of replies on here and im so glad im not only soft bugger I cried at that advert of little boy who cant wait for christmas but not for what he will get but because he wants to give his mum and dad thier pressie - i actually cried and its a bloody advert lol :) xx

I don't think I can face the cinema, I cried over the advert and got hysterical over the book! I will wait for the dvd and bawl my eyes out in private!!

Soppy bunch aren't we??

I saw the stage production last month, I loved it and although I had "something in my eye" a couple of times I didn't collapse in a blubbing heap. However if they have some of the same scenes in the film with actual live horses I suspect I will be a total wreck.

Another one for the twelve pack of loo roll here!

Cried the other day watching The Never Ending Story (for the 10,0000th time) when the little grey pony Artax dies in the swamps of sadness. Possibly the most upsetting thing I've ever seen in a film and it's for kiddies!

I cant wait! :p I read the book and cried in a few times, really hoped that the film does the book justice. From what poeple are saying it has! I will look like a right mess as its my non horsey OH who promised he would come see it with me,hes no idea what hes letting himself in for, oh dear lol!
Only cought the last 15 mins of black beauty last week but still blubbed.

I refused to go and see War Horse at the theatre cos I cried at the book and I just know I'll be in floods at the theatre and I cried in the trailer for the film the other day at Olympia. And again in the cinema.

Not a hope, I may watch it when it comes out on DVD???

The trailer came on the other day And I was sobbing, I mean sobbing and I haven't even read the book! My friend was like I am not seeing that with you. She thought it was hilarious x
