Out of having a mare, gelding, or stallion!

And they looked exactly the same, temperment the same, capability (sp) the same! SO they are all the same which would you prefer

A mare

Gelding

or

Stallion?

The fact is, they WON'T be the same.
The gelding, no matter how lovely is only of use as long as it is performing in your chosen discipline, if badly injured it can only be a field ornament.
The mare, if good enough, could breeding potential as well as being ridden and the stallion (again if good enough) also has potential for breeding, and much more productively than the mare! However it might need more specific care/fencing/handling- against that you get a stronger, more powerful horse

I would choose the stallion, then the mare, over the gelding, if I had the facilities.

I suppose I currently have a bit of both worlds in some ways

Pride was gelding at 8 so already has about 25 "kids" and he can be quite opinionated for a gelding.

So I suppose I would choose a gelding although would love a Draught stallion one day

IF.... (ideal world) all the same temperamentally, then I would have a mare so I could breed from her if she was nice.

However, in reality, I have a mare and a gelding and the gelding is easier to deal with, although his temperament isn't perfect either.

Males!!!
Ive got 2 geldings but if I could I'd have a stallion as they are very intelligent and clever!
And they always keep muscle!

Oh and you can make money!

Well, I have three mares...I like to own entire animals...with all their hormones...rather than neutered more ploddy geldings. My mares aren't 'marish' anyway.
Obviously I'd like a stallion too...but am quite glad more people don't have them as the potential for accidents is too great.

I have mares and geldings and have never been keen on geldings, so mares for me every time. I am not prepared to take on the responsibilities of a stallion.

A rather impossible scenario really.

I like stallions, I had two with my ex, worked with some at college, and at the showjumping yard I worked at in my teens I was the only one allowed to handle them out of all the yard girls. I do think I get on with them.

Having said that, I am a mare lover through and through - I think I would have to pick a mare as my first choice

I'm not really a gelding fan. I've had one who was very very special, but I don't think I would ever pick one. They would have to pick me as they say
