As it says on the tin :)

May have the opportunity to have my first horse back and a bit confused on wether to or not, some ways I`d love to have spend the rest of his days with me but then i remeber how much of a little git he used to be which was the main reason i sold him! but I`m 12 years older now and stronger and dont take crap off horses :D

I'd give anything to have my childhood pony back. He sadly died many years ago and I miss him still so much.

My first pony was a little git......she had a huge jump but would only jump round if she felf like it ( would love to see if she would behave better now i'm an adult!!), she was brilliant in traffic though and was good in all other ways. If she could still do a job i wouldnt have her back and let someone else ride her. If she was to be retired i would have her back as a pet and to live out her last days.....we do have our own land though so no livery costs!

Yes, (but not possible as over 30 years ago). Mine was quirky and ended up being passed around loads (suspect ending at market). Because i was only young there was very little I could do - mind you I could never handle her now but would defo give her a retirement home

We were always going to have our old pony back for retirement. He never retired, and kept going, but sadly we lost him last year to a tumour.
We rescued him from a garden shed, and he was a little naughty, but boy could he operate!!!
Miss you Toffee!

I would deffo have my first pony back, she was an absolute star in every way. Even when I use to fall off she would stand there very patiently with the look of "What are you doing on the floor" on her face :)

I very much doubt she would be alive today but if she was I would love to have her back and watch her graze her days away :)

I had an evil Thelwell looking Shetland pony for a 1st pony...Boom Boom. I was 4, he was chestnut, 10 hands of nasty, nipping, kicking pony...but he was mine and therefore perfect. I'd lift up his forelock and look into his little demon eyes into hell.

Then, I got General Herkimer. Connemara cross, grey, sweet and he would jump almost all the time unless horribly overfaced. A wonderful pony who loved pickled anything. Friends said I should rename him Crosse & Blackwell. I'd take "Herky" back in a second. Height separated me from him...he stayed small while I grew.

Mine`s 14.1 sec d and 18 yrs old so still lots of life in him and I`d still ride him.
He hasnt been ridden for a while, but cant see no reason why he cant be brought back into work, he`s in good condition, a bit tubby though.
Just think he is really wasted at the moment and in need of a bit of TLC and a very good brush.

Not just my first pony, but all the ones I've had the pleasure of riding on their backs and grooming them til they gleamed since!
I am fairly certain they have all gone to the other side now, but wouldn't it be nice to have them all in the field just eating and being horses til their hearts content?!

There is one pony, who if any, has a slim chance of still being alive. Brandy Snap, AKA Snapper, a 11.2hh welshie. chestnut with blaze and socks. Now 32 ish years old. He was a true charactor, and I love to give him a cuddle and appologise for never saying goodbye when he went to a new home.

I've still got mine! :) Didn't get a pony until I was 14 and so I got a 14.2 hh pony and so I never have to sell him as I will never outgrow him! However, if I had sold my first pony I would definitely want first refusal if it was for sale again.

well of my ponies we only ever sold 1, the rest were loaned out. We still have 3 of them as well now 2 with regular riders and the third basically fully retired as well he is 29 this year! The one I did though sell I have offered to three different subsequent owners that I would have him back for his retirement. All three said he had a home for life and then subsequently sold him on again. He is now 25 but he is still competing (at the lowest BSJA levels) and as that is what he always loved most I am happy, I would though take him back in a shot if offered. :)

I'd love the pony back I had when I was 13-17. He was a 14.2 appy who did everything competition wise and had the temperament of a saint. He was called Trampas and went to live near David Broome's but then I lost track. He would be in rainbow heaven now as he would be about 40 now.

I got mine back last summer - Pinky, a very cheeky little Section A welsh. She's happily retired but likes coming in every night with the big horses & being tucked up in a big stable with grub. She's palled up with Podge, my slightly neurotic Hanoverian and has been a really calming influence on him, so she's earning her keep!

I would say my childhood pony would of pass away years ago now, but would i have her back prob as now she would make me laugh, but when i was little is was a baggage to catch, would dump you on any bit of grass he could find (never on the road only on the grass) would try and roll with you on her back in streams and could duck out of a jump at the blink of an eye.
But when she was good she was very very good, Ruby the terrible 11'2" grey monster, but she taught me to ride

My childhood 'pony' was a 17hh clydesdale called Jason and yes I'd absolutely have him back in heartbeat, doubt he's still around now though. :( My 2nd one I'd run screaming from, evil TB x Arab...absolutely stunningly beautiful but she was the most horrific creature ever!! I swore I'd never own a mare again after her...:o just bought a mare a few weeks ago so goes to show!!!;)

I'd love to have my first bought pony back but sadly he died far too young (19) after breaking down at a small team chase. His body sort of went into shock and over the new few weeks his body just started to shut down. It was horrid and still can upset me now. We were the same age (I got him when I was 12) so whether he would still be with us now had he not had his accident i don't know as he'd be 33 now.

I still have my 2nd pony though as he was too neurotic to sell. He's 24/25 now and i got him 17 years ago!

Id have Puzz back, but then if she was still alive I doubt shed have ever gone anywhere, but shes been gone now for 7 years.. shed still only be 15 now bless her :(

I still have my childhood pony (I'm 21). She's the only horse I've ever owned and was bought when I was 11. 14.3hh Arab mare, she's lovely :)

And me, except I got mine when I was 14. 14.2hh Welsh Cob mare, now 12 (yes, she was only 4/5 when I got her, I was a totally novice owner, should have been a disaster). She won't be going anywhere and I won't have another one after her.

aboout 5 years ago i did!

He was on permanent loan to a lovely family but the kids grew up and lost interest and the mother worked all hours so he didnt get much attention (he was looked after very well tho')
After their vet diagnosed a "possible heart condition" i had him back- he was and always will be the love of my life and it was the best thing i had ever done. With some TLC he flourished and came back into light hacking.
We had a fab year together after that until he was sadly pts.

I've got mine, well it was my friends pony I never had one of my own but i used to ride him all the time, i was 12 the last time i saw him we got him last year, i'm now 28 and he is 27 this year.
He is a 11.2hh Welsh.
Lovely to have him, although will make it extra sad when he goes. he was loaned to a riding school after she grew out of him, she still owns him but we rescued him after the yard changed hands and they weren't looking after him. He now lives with me and my lot.

He is the grey one. :D

Like a shot, I would! Mine was a 14.1 chestnut Arab gelding called Kehshspian. I even remember his old freezemark number 'L974'. Fabulous pony. Fabulous jumping pony. They don't make them like him anymore. I still miss him and wonder where he ended up :(

No,

She jumped anything but bit and kicked and put several people in hospital doing so. When I sold her she apparently stopped doing it so I think as she went with same tack ect that she really didn't like me/our yard very much and would be unhappy coming back.

However Lottie I've had since I was 15 so if she counts, she is still with me and I wish I would never have to part with her. She is old and poorly though so as long as she is not in pain and relatively happy I get to keep her but I don't know how long I've got. She's 10 months into borrowed time.

Every moment is precious. Never miss a chance to treat or kiss her.

In a minute! My lil 15hh appaloosa super star could come back from the happy hunting ground any time he wanted! He carried me round some of the biggest team chases, negotiated some of the trickiest country hunting and did he perkiest dressage test! He was also a lil swine but my rose tinted specs won't let me see that right now! Out with the photo albums.....

My first pony was a doooooood, welsh section B grey.... I loved him to bits, and didn't want to sell him. But as I'm now very nearly 5ft10...there is no way I could have progressed to where I am now by keeping him. If he is by any chance still alive and someone offered him to me, I'd snap him up in a heartbeat. Equally, my older sisters first pony/family pony 14.1hh TB X palamino, was awesome, and we only sold him on the basis that in 5 years we would have him back as a lawnmower, unfortunately he broke his leg in the field only a month after we sold him and had to be PTS :( If someone could bring him back to life, I'd deffo have him back.
