Can I ask where you keep your horse?

Thinking of moving to Wimbledon but not till next year, be nice to know what the options are re. stables.

I'm tempted to keep him in Epsom as he'll have a sharer soon so that would take the pressure off a bit.

I think it's only a 10 mile trip there and back between wimbledon and epsom but be interested to know if anyone managed to find a stables nearer.

He's on part livery and gets 3 hours turnout a day.....not great but seems to suit him. Must have a usable school (in winter) and decentish hacking.

Any ideas?xxx

There's quite a lot of yards in Wimbolden and my friends got a yard in Epsom, il text her and find some names for you.

Would you consider Claygate/Bookham area? Loads of nice yards round there.

I wouldn't leave my yard (love it) unless there was somewhere substantially nearer with the option of atleast some turnout.....I'm currently on Epsom Downs too so very spoilt for hacking!

Wouldn't move him just for my convenience either - rather he was happy (which he is now) and I had to drive a bit more than not...

Cheers Badgerrr

think moving in towards london - with all the speed cameras and coppers hiding behind bushes and congestion it would actually take you longer than 10 mins each way, plus there may be even less turnout there with the pressure for housing development.

During the week in rush hour traffic you are looking at 30 mins plus from Wimbledon to Epsom.

don't mind that - I commute from Croydon to Epsom every day to the stables so I'm guessing it will take about the same amount of time....both are 10 mile journeys.... x

the same for me, I actually just moved into this area, and I am looking for a stable in a distance of up to 15 Miles. I have seen a few stables on the weekend, but as I am trying to find grass livery it is difficult. If you find something or would be interested in my list of stables... let me know!

I live in Chiswick and haven't been able to find anywhere I like nearby, so I travel out to Guildford each day. It's 30 miles each way (!!!

!!!) but it's worth it to know M is looked after well and is happy.

Saying that, I'm always interested if there's anywhere nearer!!

p.s. Saf and I went to the Downs the other day... wow! Can't wait to work my way around as they seem to go on for miles!!

There are stables in the Kingston, Claygate, leatherhead area. There is also Wimbledon Village stables, but understand that it is soooo expensive. There is manor stables (I think it is called) on the A3 just beside Richmond park.

I think there is also a stables in Richmond park.

A lady put a post on here a couple of months ago about livery in that area. Can't remember what her name was sorry x

thanks guys. Ideally I'd be looking for a bit more turnout so I think probably stick to just off the A3 - Chessington is only 7 miles from wimbledon so on the A3 that shouldn't be too bad....claygate is an option too I guess.

i live in battersea and work in wimbledon, keep my boy in osterley (near chiswick), he lives out in a 9 acre field very happily. Lots of places around there
