If you put 'sensible offers accepted' in an ad, does it work out ok?

Friend needs to sell horse, not sure of price in current market but knows what she won't accept below. Would 'sensible offers accepted' work ok? Or would she get loads of people offering her £1000 when according to horsemart/HHO today the horse is worth more like £3000-4000?

Why not put offers around £3.5K then?

If you put no price on at all you limit the number of people who will contact you.
