Just wondering what ideas people can come up with in return for sponsoring a up and coming event rider, as a business in return we have our name on their horsebox and a monthly write up of progress etc but can anybody think of ideas which may help bring customers to our business?
Can anybody throw any ideas around
:)

Having your name on their lorry brings up issues which may prove problematic if the rider is not running a business, they will, I think have to be running it as a commercial vehicle with all the extra costs so make sure that is looked into before being finalised.

What you expect in return will depend on the business you own, if equine related they could do some promotions to PC/ RCs in the area, you could have jackets with your name/ logo on for the rider and team to wear. If they have a website/ facebook they should be able to use your name on there to keep promoting you.

Promotion via social media and at events, and through testimonials on your website/ their website. Lots of pictures (if you have products) of these products in action showing how vital they are in the rider's success...

This. Social networking is really important, so a rider who can remain 'professional' at all times is a must :)

I think there is a different expectation depending on the sponsor/rider and their relationship. Sometimes riders can help out at sponsor's events - like tradestands at shows for example.

I would ask the same question in CR as there are quite specific rules for what sponsors can and can't do in BE.
