Those of you that use Oestress, and feel that it helps.....

Do you keep feeding it over the winter or back off until Spring?

Once the current tub is finished (early next week I imagine) I will stop it and see in the spring if I need to restart it.

Was wondering the same thing . I was thinking about keeping her on a lower dose over the winter but will watch this thread to see what others will do.

When my mare was on it we stopped feeding it over the winter. Luckily haven't needed to go near mare supplements this year, she has been a dream mare.

I will also finish current tub then take a break and see if next spring she needs it again. I've been very pleased with it though.

It appears to be working so well for my filly that I am rather scared to stop it!

Yes I feed all year round. First time I stopped she bucked me off in the February when her first season (I think) kicked in. As it only costs £35 for a tub it doesnt work out much if you break it down monthly so not worth it not to feed it in my case.

I normally feed it March through to September ish but this year will admit that I haven't even used a full tub! with the mad weather Fleur has been very rarely in season and she hasn't needed it whereas last year she was in and out of season every 3 weeks and the Oestress made a noticeable difference, this yeah her seasons have been much milder and less frequent!

hmm interesting

my mare isnt ever nasty (also a Flir but spelt randomly lol) She very heavy and frequent seasons and can get separation issues when in season.

where can you buy this cactus remedy? i would be interested to try some

I don't feed it but people at the yard do and they feed all year round

I buy from these people. I use one flat blue scoops a day (the scoop that comes in the oestress pot) and my mare is much better on it. She just gets very grumpy and doesn't like to be touched or groomed and this stops all that.

Have to say my filly has gone from crabby, bitchy, snapping and cowkicking, to being utterly loved up on Oestress. I am so happy with it

Think I'll just keep going on a low dose over winter. Don't want to rock the boat tbh.
