If you where to get another dog?

Oh I'm a Malamute convert through and through since getting Korben - absolutely adore these guys and I would have a team of them if I had enough room/time/money.:D

I would never of entertained having a springer, BUT having rehomed a 1 yr old about a year ago she is now 2, she is lovely dog, and not as nuts as their reputation.

I would love a GSD, we had one that died at 6 1/2 with an enlarged spleen, he was my boy, he loved his dad but it was me he wanted, RIP Max

I've also had a mongrel terrier mix who out lived him, she was put to sleep on her 16th birthday.

SO it would be a toss up between having another spangle or a GSD, although I do like wire haired terriers

Pleased to see someone else mention slovakian rough haired pointers...I want one of those too! Will always have Vizslas and Parsons, probably will always have a lurchy pants knocking about to , I've always had lurchers and this is the longest I have been with only one about. Next dog will be a Flora puplet I should think.

It will be a gundog, beyond that I don't know! Probably a lab (fell in love with a gorgeous black working lab yesterday) or a spaniel or spaniel cross:)

I dont think I could get another lab after Chloe goes. I'd love a spangle. Or maybe another colour lab. Dunno!

I'd look at another GSP but my oh has a gsp x spinger which is high on my list.
I love a boxer but my oh isnt as keen.

There are only 3 breeds I know about to consider, GSD, JRT or Labs.

Although I can't see myself getting anything until I buy a house now :(

Can't imagine ever being without a Rott :)
Love me terrors too - JRT or a cross.
Grew up with a GSP - he was a wedding present to my parents - he was great.

I do fancy a yorkie though, a standard one. Any I've met have thought they were rotties so you get a terrier size with big dog attitude :D

Oh I like this game!

Next dog (when the time comes) will definitely be a rescue - that much is certain! My heart does love a spangle, but I'd also be swayed by the right Lab, Border Terrier, Corgi (damn you Annette4!) or skinnydog :o

:D

Staffie, from a rescue, again, although I will always have at least 2 now.

Unfortunately I am overly spoilt for choice atm - a close friend tells me staffs are going through what GSD's went through some 15-20 years ago.

Would love to reclaim the breed as an active terrier and country dog. Like they were when we first had them.

Black Lab, Black Lab, Black Lab - get the picture?

I do love my Spangle but she's not, ah well a - Black Lab (obvs)

Also after dog siting my friends Munsterlander I would certainly have one of those - as long it was trained! And always had a soft spot for an Italian Spinone or an English Bully, but I love running and and really long walks so not so sure on that one.

But otherwise - Black Lab!

JDx

Malamutes always and maybe at least one sibe :D (im hoping my boys will be around for another 10 or more years :) )

A GSD will definately join us at some point in the next few years hes already named too :D

I would like a German shorthaired pointer.

OH wants an Australian Cattle Dog.

....We'd probably end up with another Ridgie too,, such great characters.

.... but then again,, you can't beat a black lab.

... and,,,, I always fancied a Wolfhound:D.

.. love Rotties too:rolleyes:... ho-hum,,, Hopefully, I won't be making that decision for a few years yet anyway:)
