All new tack, boots, bandages saddle cloths etc for a jet black horse what would you choose ?

Because have been really lucky and have won a competion first thing I have ever won in 40 something years I am thrilled to bits but now after years of saving up for my black jeffires tack and making do with other bits and bobs my heads in a spin as to what to get. My friends bless them are thrilled for me and full of suggetions and I know it sounds silly but I am a bit intimidated by it all !
 
Good for you great news it could not have happend to more well deserving person it has to be said peeps the lady in question will help anyone out and was entered into this competion by friends and we all think its great she has won !

I think black tack with either red or green as your colour scheme but then I have told you that already

Def black tack with a black horse, maybe a smart white saddle cloth/numnah if you want to do dressage and either white or black boots.

If you want another colour I think red looks lovely on black horses, so I would go for red!

I would go for black tack for a black horse. Then if you want competition gear then go for white numnah, with either black or white boots.

If you want things for every day then I think dark green would look good. However if it was me I would go for PINK

My first thought would be black tack, but after visiting my local tack shop, they had a black plastic horse wearing black and burgundy leather (john whitaker I think) and it looked mighty dapper

What a lovely prize! Well done you! Make sure you post some photos once you have it all with your horse fully decked out!
 
I am a fan of dark brown tack, and then a creamy colour or dark orange looks really smart

Don't like primary colours particularly on horses tbh!

Ditto - I have a black horse and she has all black tack with either black or white accessories depending on how posh we're feeling. Then all of her rugs, grooming kit etc. is in red and black, as the red looks very striking against the black.

I've just bought her that bright red Amigo turnout that is advertised in all the magazines at the moment and the contrast of the colours is fantastic

I have a black horse and he's got black tack. He looks best with white accessories. Any colour goes well with black though. I plan to buy mine a Thermatex soon in bright brick red :P

Lucky you having won the competition and having a black horse. I'd go for black tack (Albion KB Bridle and a saddle that suits you, your horse and discipline) and white saddlecoth. Having said that with a black horse you can get away with almost any colour. I'd be so excited I wouldn't be able to sleep. Hope you are going to post piccies of your new tack on your horse

I have a black (most of the time) horse, with white socks and blaze and he looks lovely in any colour.....

If you are into showing then go for brown as that is more correct, if not black looks better imo.
