Well depends if he is in the area, but the one and only time Bodey lost a shoe it was 2 days, and that was over a weekend. Our farrier is fab!!!

Last time happened to be Good Friday which was fantastic (had a competition on the Sunday) - but then he is the best farrier around (apart from TheFarrier, obviously

i have never had to wait more than a day.....and thats even for loose shoes if I am wanting to hunt or something.....

Having said that, I have very rarely had a lost shoe and it has always been caused by her, rather than the shoe falling off on its own!

I think my farrier is fab.....I might have said that before!

. Once had to wait a week, which was a pain in the butt, but he has been out on the same day on another occasion (Dizz is a whizz at pulling them off when she's having a scat

You are all sooo lucky. I now have to wait 2 weeks!!!!!!!!
He is my usual farrier and because of the time getting him out I used two different farriers with really bad results so looks like I'm gonna have to wait, don't trust anyone else.
Feeling really p..sed off as its bang in the middle of my show season.

well my old farrier would leave my dad to nail it back in... he wouldnt come out! luckily my dad does know how to do it, but nailing back on an old shoe is far from ideal!

3 days at the most unless he is really busy although he has come at 7 am and 9 pm before! Although now I try give him prior warning if we have event (my mare is a pro at throwing them!!) and as he comes every 2 weeks for a couple at a time I shift appointments as best I can so he's here the night before! If all else fails I get them done by the event farrier as it's generally BE.

I cover a large area so if it happens to be the end of the week sometimes that client may have to wait until the next time i am in that area but this is no more than prob four/five days including the weekend. Although have been known to do very early or very late especially if its an emergency. If i am at furthest stop one area and its someone in furthest stop in another that could be as much as over 100miles

B has never lost a shoe with the current wonderful farrier! He did pull a nail going nuts in the field last week and farrier stopped in on his way home that night to put it back in

The old farrier would switch his phone off Friday lunchtime until Monday lunchtime and shoes would regularly drop off on the firday before a comp

Usually a day or so from when I get hold of him, getting hold of him is the problem! It can take me up to two weeks of phoning and leaving messages before he phones me back!

He's the type of Farrier who doesn't let his clients book in advance so as you can imagine it can become a bit of a nightmare when they desperately need doing!
