As in the title really!

If your livery yard could offer you an incentive that would add value to what you already pay, what would you want it to be?

ie: Free and secure parking for your lorry / trailer
Discount on feed by buying in bulk.

Fire away, your thoughts and ideas would be very much appreciated!!

Lizzie :)

a couple of days off a month so in effect free full livery (but would expect just a skip out and to leave haynets/feed made up etc)

just basically so i could go yay no horse today and go off for the day etc.

(tbf the yard im on done hay/feed/waters in the mornings when lanes were frozen up and didnt charge us to me it was a huge hep as im often first on yard and was driving on frozen devon lanes before anyhing else had used them)

A check around 10 pm would be brilliant with hay top up if needed and water in bucket smashed if it is has iced over. Luckily for me my horse is at my friends and she would call me if anything was amiss. :)

1)free/reduced price hay/hayledge
2)hay/hayledge/bedding(usually straw) available on site
3)cctv/people living on site
4)bring in or turn out in winter
5)check water/hay

On a DIY yard, someone really reliable on hand that you could ask (ie pay) to do some of the shifts without feeling you're being a pain, putting someone out or calling in too many favours etc.

I hate that feeling of rushing back from meetings and watching the clock, especially in winter and the bliss of just being able to occasionally have a lie in knowing your horse was being looked after... Not that I'd manage that: Sod's Law says I'd be awake earlier than normal and fidgeting

Can I say evicting a fellow livery? Be quite happy to have the horse stay as long as its out on full loan to someone else.

My yard is perfect for me and already does most of these things! Including free part livery!

But a big thing for me would be arranging a big farm ride out a couple of times a year. Like hiring a box and going to the beech or something. And splitting it all between us. (:

No nonsense from anyone who neglects and upsets other users. A free day off for each full month they are on livery ie if they could acrue it for holiday use each year? Bookable on a rota so that not everyone is away at once. If they leave yard they lose the days etc. & wont get days back in money either etc etc.

free horsebox parking is good idea

1) hot, stud-muffin Swedish male (at least 6') to give massages once per week
2) Jacuzzi (preferably with said male)
3) Buy two months livery get one free

A board with times on, so people can book the school, rather than having to hang round for hours to get a turn...

We have a deal that if you pay a years livery up front you get a 10% discount. That's almost one month free. We also give a 10% discount in the tack shop, reduced rate on hay and bedding and if you buy ten lessons at once you get two free.

Eviction for badly behaved people after two warnings.
No children allowed. Even under the supervision of an adult. I want where I keep my horse to be a child-free zone. Min age of 18 would be my preference. 16 at a pinch.

(Before you all scream at me, have had problems with parents not keeping their children safe. Also disrespectful teenagers who feel free to move my stuff around.)

Charlie76 - check your maths. You're on a better deal than you think...
I'd love to have my horse mucked out on my birthday. One of the grooms did it for me this year as she gets free rides on my Big Pony sometimes. It was a real treat to get to the yard to find that all I had to do was play with him (which on this occasion was riding bareback in a headcollar).
