The FEI had their annual meeting a couple of weeks ago, with an entire session dedicated to Paris 2024.

Info here: https://inside.fei.org/fei/sports-forum/2023/session-documents/session-three

More interestingly, and worth a watch listen is this vid https://www.youtube.com/live/DhTTFpRZedw?feature=share&t=7904 which discusses the above link, including maps of Versailles and what changes they're making, ie horses stabled by discipline, not nation to avoid disruption when they leave, and a rough map of the xc course!

That stadium set up is going to even more impressive than Greenwich!

Interesting, thanks for sharing!

They mention that the areas for grazing are along the 'gallop track' - wonder what the time restrictions will be for using them. Just don't think I'd fancy hand-grazing a WB while horses go cantering past.

Also didn't realise the FEI had a database of tack - what a brilliant resource (though some of the stuff on there makes me feel a little sick; even if it's not permitted, the fact it exists...). TIL someone could go round the Olympic XC course in a treeless saddle.

Assuming things won't have changed drastically since London2012 there will be schedules drawn up allowing use of facilities by certain disciplines at certain times for exactly this reason. They will only be allowed to use the gallops during allotted sessions, it's not a galloping free-for-all (thankfully)
