do any of you own a 511 trailer? if so where do you tie your haynet up? i just bought one this week and my 16.3 sports horse is squashed if i tie the haynet to the ring he is tied to. tried to tie it up at the front but then he cant reach it, any advice will be most appreciated.. thanks

may be worth me buying the window bars, only other answer is to drill holes through the framework and i don't really fancy doing that...

I don't have one but suggest you tie it at the front and to the tie ring you tie him too and then it'll be in the middle?

There are only two tie rings in the 511 and they are above the breast bars.So you cannot really tie the haynet here as the horse will have trouble eating it and would also be tied onto the same rings.

I meant tie it between the front and the tie ring :)

That's what I do in my trailer for ponies as I only have two tie rings too. BH can reach the front because he's a giraffe disguised as a horse!

It didn't dawn on me either until I hung haynet up. Mine managed with it tied to the tie up ring, but I would prefer it to be a little further forward.

I have a 510 bit have a similar issue. I tie it to the front then have another bit of string at the bottom of the net which I tie to the tie ring. This means it sits about halfway between the front and the tie ring.

When mine went in for its first service I had the guy fix a bracket to each side of the trailer, half way between the front and the horse tie up ring, just about the top of the ramp when closed. He has also fitted some brackets to the front so I can strap in things like a barrow when I have to, or a big crate for example. I did this in my old trailer and it didn't devalue it at all, buyers were pleased that someone else had done it for them!

That's what I was trying to explain. Rather ineptly it would seem! :)

i have the same problem although I dont have an Ifor.

I tie mine to the window bars but Im not really happy doing this as I dont want them bent. I cant tie it to the front as theres nowhere to tie anything and there are mangers at the front anyway.

Definitely design faults having a lack of haynet tie ups imo.

Im not sure how Id go about putting extra rings in, given the trailers fibreglass or polyester or something, will have to check out where could be safely drilled into I think.
