Hi All,

As above, I am looking to upgrade my trailer in the next couple of months and was looking for options other than the 510/511.

Although I only have a relatively small horse I like a roomy trailer.

Bateson Ascot or Deauville? Everyone who's had/has one raves about how good they are and my girl loves the YO's one. About £4k new for a Deauville so cheaper than Ifor too.

I've had 2 ifors over the years, both from brand new, an equitrek also from new and recently bought a 2yr old bateson ascot which I much prefer above any of the others I've had. My mare didn't get the whole facing backwards thing so became a nightmare to load so be aware of this if considering an equitrek. The ascot is a fab trailer with a very nifty tack locker in the nose cone and it tows really really well!

Bateson Derby - lightweight and designed for being down plated for B licence towing should the need arise

Having had more of a look, I quite like the look of the Ascot/ Deauville.

I am looking at a Batson Ascot. The build did seem better then the Ifor 506. Wanted to look a Fautras but no one has any. There are the Bockmann trailers which people seem very pleased with but I am quite impressed with the Ascot.

Another vote for Bateson, better suspension, correct unloading side, more features inc in price and have found Bateson very very helpful for spares and advice!

Hi Noodle I have the Deauville model not the ascot but defo not as noisy as the Ifor! In my opinion the Bateson are better built and hold there money better I also feel they age (looks wise) better as well! Cant praise Batesons enough I bought mine and need to replace a few bits and pieces they've sourced everything for me or told me where I can get things from and even talked my dad how to refit basic parts!

Love my Bateson Ascot. Both horses travel beautifully in it and it tows like a dream. Mine is an old 2003 model which I bought cheap and have put in new plastic floor, decal stickers etc. All bought direct from Bateson who are fab about spares.
