Would you buy one? I've seen one that looks just what I am looking for. Has no partition and a single breast bar so D could stand in the middle.

She's been a bad traveller in the past, doesn't like trailers but goes okay in a lorry. I'm hoping that she might travel better in a container than a box because it would have suspension and without a partition she could stand in the middle. Does that logic sound right?

Odd question I know but are they open at the back like a trailer would be or are they closed? I wonder if part of the reason she travelled better in the lorry was that she couldn't hear all of the traffic noises

I'm biased as selling one but have a look on the website as it gives you all the dimensions. The containers on their own are also very expensive (about £4.5K) so well worth having one even if you later put it on a newer chassis. IW do a good range of spare parts too plus all the body panels

The SWB one I have is the same headroom as the 505 trailer but slightly wider and longer. The other plus is the container doesn't taper at the front like a trailer so effectively it is more roomy.

The back is fully enclosed on mine but there is a small section above the ramp which I think comes off if you wish as it's just bolted on.

Mine does have a partition but just took it out to try Cat without it and found he seems to prefer it, Willow on the other hand likes to be propped up

Do you mean the livestock conainers? If so, no, they are far too dangerous for horses unless you find one that has been lined fully.

OMG no way! Nor would I use any of these converted furniture vans you see knocking about. People seem to think it's fine to put a ramp and a few bits of plywood in a Luton van and call it a horsebox, aaargh!

No, mine is the purpose built container that IW do specifically for horses

Eeek no, they do proper horse ones that you can have fitted onto the back of a transit. It has a proper breast bar and everything.
