I have the bog standard 505 with the windowless front top door.

I would love a window for merlin to look out of so that he doesnt keep looking out of the back.... he will get a crick in his neck one day

Is it possible to have one installed, or can you buy the complete top door with a window in???

Oh great.... I saw one on ebay which was not a new one or a 510 but had windows.

it was available as an extra on the 505s (poss not opening ones) and we have the 505 classic (posh 505!) which has opening windows on both sides.

I should just think it depends if they still have parts now they have shifted to 506. If so I would have thought the easiest thing would be to get a new top door with one in.

Our horses like them v. much and we no longer have to open the top door to load mums horse

We had a pair of sliding windows fitted by a ifor williams dealer. It cost approx £100 for the 2 windows and £120 for the fitting.

We had them done to encourage one of our horses that hated travelling in the trailer and they have helped a lot.

I have a huge (full size) perspex window in the top door of my 505 - it's fab because I can see what they're up to in my wing mirror!

So if you're going to get one installed, it's worth thinking about whether you're going to get a full size window or a little one like in the 510.

That is just what I would like.... is it IW or did you do it yourselves??

I wouldnt try towing that trailer away

That is a lovely window, think we should show that pic to everyone that travels with the top door open as a safe alternative.

It was already on the trailer when I bought it second hand. It looks like an aftermarket jobby though as you can see marker pen lines on the corners inside where they drew where to cut it out? I found it absolutely fab, and of course it makes your trailer stand out from the others a bit in case someone nicks it!

Yeh, took it to bits to change it from green to blue to match the Disco!! Then hubs said if I sell it I can get a 511!

So it's for sale now!

Perhaps a sunroof specialist or something similar would be cheaper than an IW main dealer???

Or maybe a horsebox conversion place? They must be well used to putting windows in?
