I'm trying to twist my husbands arm in letting me buy a trailer. It's a big expense. Someone I know is selling their Ifor Williams. Would take two horses. I think it's a good few years old but It does have a metal floor with matting on. Nice nick although some of the door hinges are a bit rusty and the wheel arch has been knocked. She wants min 2 grand. Is that too much????

IW's do hold there value well so ur not likely to get one really cheap unless it lived through the war lol

i reckon 2 grand ish would be ok if its bout 5-7 years old and u do have the plus pionts that its a friend selling it so u have known the trailer and hopefully they wouldnt rip u off,
Also if ur going to use it every week and u already have the car to pull it then it would be a good buy IMO

I got my 5year old 505 for £2200, but tbh it's a minefield and if you find one you know has been used and you have the history of then that is a major bonus. IW trailers tend to need to be over 10 years and often a lot more to go below the 2 grand mark. Often they are making silly money, look on ebay and you'll see, some older trailers are reaching the same prices as the 2 year old ones.
